Now that we're talking about Cutter, I gotta rant to someone, even if you guys are only digital.
So here's the story: I set up an appointment to get my oil changed at 8 a.m. I even took off the day so I could get my other errands done in the late morning and throughout the rest of the afternoon, incorrectly assuming that the work would only take an hour or so. When I got there I was told that it would take an hour to an hour and a half, which I expected since they're a dealer, not Jiffy Lube. Fine. Two hours later, I'm still sitting on my @$$, when the service person comes and tells me I have a nail in my tire. Fine, let's fix it, but "how much longer is it going to be?"
To my surprise, "Oh, they're just getting to your car." This is TWO HOURS AFTER I TOOK IT IN AT MY APPOINTMENT TIME!!! I am told it should only take another 30 minutes. Needless to say, I left Cutter at 11:45, three hours and 45 freakin minutes after I arrived, and almost three hours more than they told me it would/should take.
I understand that things happen out of our control. However, I don't understand how someone in the service industry can go that amount of time without ever apologizing for the wait, or thanking me for my business when I paid at the end. Not a freaking word! In fact, she made it seem like I was a hassle because I asked "how much longer" twice during the long wait.
All I want to know is whether those jack asses are going to jack my warranty if I get the oil changed at Midas or Jiffy Lube from now on. Anybody know?

nah, do it yourself, save the time and money
HH
i dont know man, with this upcoming deployment im up to my knees in BS work to do...
and SF
it really shouldnt take more than 12 hours to fully assemble and install the head... ht ONLY thing i recommend is taking the head with the valves down to schneiders for the inspection that you are already intending on doing... just to make sure everything will be a good fit...

Your experience at Cutter Ford/Mits sounds like the ones I been having. Mits called me for a survey on Cutter's Mits. I told them if I could give them a zero on their 1-10 scale I would across the board. That is diff the worse dealer I have been too.
As far as your oil change question, I asked about this and I was told to keep the receipts and log the mileage and date it was changed. Also you have to use modil 1 and mits oil filter and gasket.

I only DIY Oil Change. To many times I have seen Oil Filters over tightnd crushing the gasket, and the pan or the plug stripped out. Dealerships are Notorious for this espically pan stripping, and all they do is retap and never say a word to you. So after a few retaps your leaking from the plug and have no idea why. As far as Cutter they went on a serious decline after they moved it into the Ford Dealership.

Aloha, I spotted a GG EVO last Thursday on Kauai coming West on the HWY from North shore direction just past Doney Beach area between the rain storm. I was coming from a sideroad in a Silver Nissan Xterra 4x4. I know there aren't many of those SUV over there
I can't believe I was there for the last load of sugar. E85 coming to an island near you I hear.

Correct but if you tighten it to much crushing it down to far it doesn't expand when heated and doesn't seal properly. The reason it should only be one turn past hand tight

E85?? I wouldn't do that to my X since there is no performance shops for Evo's here. The only thing here is AMS once a few months. I was in shock when I heard that there is no tuners for Evo's here. On the real 6 months later I am still shock.
