6765 Forward Facing Manifold Round #2

After building the first one we decided to change a few things up, the location of the first one was built on a 5-bolt housing and when we changed to the .82 v-band setup the turbo location changed, we didnt like the 5/8" of an inch change that didnt allow the filter to be ran in the fashion we wanted.

So after ordering a few very very nice pieces from SLS we dove into it head first again.

We came up with a very good design and equally as challenging as the first, the runners all came out equal length as well.

Sorry we dont have a nice shiny manifold for you guys to view and only subpar tacks at best, but soon it will be welded up and coated black.

For those of you wondering where the wastegate is going to be placed, its actually going to be right over the turbo in the opening and the dump can easily be shot down in between the runners and the block or recirculated very easily into the downpipe.

Enough talking!! Enjoy

Very nice!!

Does that 3" v band exhaust housing just take a standard style 3" ferral and clamp?

Do you still have a/c on the car?

This make me want to do a forward facing kit for my own car!

No its a precision v-band bull ****. Its about $80 dollars for one, just do a 4 bolt, and call it a day. Yeah ac will still bolt up in the car, just needs some civic condensor action. And eric likes to sweat it it out!

So let me get this straight you can still run A/C as long as you retrofit a civic condenser in front of the civic radiator? To be quite honest I had no idea this had been done. This jumbles up my previous turbo options for sure. Does anyone have a link to a thread of this successfully being done? Sorry for the hijack OP but your badass manifold has caused me a change of heart

I dont know of any successful links, and eric doesnt like ac so I dont think its goin back into his car. Im pretty sure there will need to be a few custom lines made, nothing serious. But the compressor will fit back in there even with the dp, if people were to do a/c I think they would need to recirc the dump on this setup...but im 99.99999999999% certain it will fit up and work fine with a little inginuity(sp?)

Looks very god my friend.
i think foward facing turbos are the way to go, it just makes sence to be it will help you with spool, and in many other aspects help the turbo behave positively.

Pics dont do it justice at all. Its really hard to get the full flavor of this manifold without standing next to it. Plus its pretty raw in these pics. When its finished and coated it should look outstanding. And pics dont do the justice of how intricate and tight that manifold is on that one side.

Wow, I need to check this out in person sometime... looks *****!

Great work, thats an awesome looking forward facing manifold!

BTW on the Precision vband... it does not have to be bought through precision solely, it is actually a odd size as its not really a standard 3" but can be bought from most places that have vbands. I had to get the clamp for mine and went through another source than precision.

Do you know how much that vband assembly cost you? And yea its not a 3" discharge its like 2.75 and a 3" pipe slides over the assembly that precision sends you.
