Ericblackevo8's Forward facing turbo manifold build!!!

Ok so after a about four years of fun with my AMS turbo kit which has worked great since the day I bought it. The time has come to retire it... my car has just simply out grown it. With all the new turbo technology coming out and the need for a larger turbine housing myself and a buddy of mine Denis (less10) have decided to build a new exhaust manifold that will accept a larger turbine housing and with all these new manifolds that are coming out being forward facing we had to give it a try ourselves. We have been working on this for a couple of weekends now and we finally have a little something to show for. Here are a few pictures of the progress so feel free to comment and make sugguestions.

Here is the jig we made to ensure we get the same angle everytime on our cuts for the collector.

Doing some test fitting.

Collector all finished up. Welds courtesy of Denis (less10).

Getting the turbo placement correct

First runner done! We wanted to make the runners as long as possible but still ensure that they are as close to equal length as possible.

Runner #2 Finished.

Runner #3 complete

That is as far as we are right now, myself or Denis (less10) will continue to update this thread as we make progress.

Eric
