Great job. I always prefer to built it myself rather that buying unless its a major safety item. Props for fabbing tools to do your fab work.

I still love the brackets you sold me btw

Yeah that pump is just for boost leak testing and is cheap. It works, but I'd never try to pump up tires with it.

As for the urinal rules, most guys put way too much thought into it.

You want to learn to weld and use free material all the time, join the navy like i did and become a HT or Hull Technician.
Four months or stick, tig and mig welding along with brazing. That's what I love Brazing. Then you can go to the advanced "C" school and get another 6 months of welding in or go be a NDT tech and learn what to look for in a good weld.
Is there porosity in the weld. You can have good penetration but if you have lots of porosity then your weld is prone to break and in the navy this is a NO NO. Ah but one thing we did learn alot of is grinding. You learn to grind very well and redo your welds.
I spent 5 yrs as a HT and people wonder why I don't do it now that I am out. Never really enjoyed welding as much as some did. But had I liked it I could be making good money now.

Or you could just go take night classes at your local vocational school and not sign your life away. Just a thought...
OP,
You've got a nice setup there. My plan is to get a nice little shop like that setup at my next house. I just don't have the room for it now. I've always had a well equipped shop in the backyard growing up and it drives me nuts not having one now. It makes the simplest projects a PITA when you don't have the right tools right there ready to go.

I hope they actually open a techshop ( http://www.techshop.ws/) in Austin next year. Then I could actually build some sweet arse parts.

I have a Thermal Arc TIG welder and the quality/performance to dollar ratio is very nice. This is the companies Plasma brand. And it's well reviewed.
And it's invisible in the correct background. GET ER DID!

Yeah the camo was a limited edition for some charity fund. It actually made it cheaper FTW, close-out pricing.
I paid $1350 shipped and got the last one a certain dealer had left in stock, found the dealer on Ebay. This one retails for around $1500. Best deal ever was $1200, but that price came and went when I had zero dollars.
This thing will cut up to 1 1/8" steel. Over 1 inch - Holy Crap Batman!
