Nice, you are a lot like I am. I just make my own stuff because I am never satisified with anything that's out there.

Overall if the joints are tight I do OK. I really struggled with the thin walled aluminum of the IC pipes. The butt-joints on them are lame-o, as well as the fillets for the BOV etc - they look like squirted toothpaste because I ad to go back and reflow them a bunch to make them solid.

90 amps is not that much since you pulsed it. Maybe you are lingering a bit too long in the area. I wonder about your shielding gas, try that lense out and consider some cleaning on the base materials. You've def got a good start. Keep at it; I can remember my first attempt at fusing thick stainless to thin gauge tubes...oh my..it takes a bit of confidence to just run with it., get that puddle going and dont stop.

Come on over and we'll put you to work...But really nice start...

I really don't like just fusing stuff. Pick up some .035 or .045 filler from your local supply store and give that a try.

There is nothing wrong with fusing thin stainless together.

Awesome fab work man.. Lots of props to you for doing all that work yourself. For those who want to learn how to weld, hope on craigslist and look for a used welder and just start welding some stuff and have fun.

Nice work. Just because the welds aren't pretty doesn't mean it's not going to work. I've seen alot of pretty welds fail. As long as you get the right penetration and fuse the parts correctly, your golden. The good thing about welds is you can grind them smooth and make them look pretty. Night courses are o.k. but if you get a seasoned welder to show you some tips and tricks, even better. And of course, practice and trial and error. Keep up the great work!

I built it. It's based off a design that is pretty published for DIY'ers on the intrewebnet. I made some changes, but it's pretty similar to the original. It uses dies from Pro-Tools, HMP-200 specific. http://www.pro-tools.com/

We have a manufacturing supplier at work with a truly "master welder", I'm going to try and get some help from him.

Drives: ambystom01 crazy by insisting on spending $2000 when $400 would do

That looks like something Aston Powers would have

Seriously though, I have that same pump I think. It is a real piece of **** I tried to do a boost leak test with it, and I was going ape on it and it just was not flowing enough air. I tried using it for adjusting pressures at the track, and just gave up and bought a better one.

I still love the brackets you sold me btw
