Just bought Labonte Motorsports ISG-S3

So decided to buy a new meth kit and I like the ISG-S3 from Labonte's. As much as I tried to gather some info and thought that the ISG came with everything I needed I still managed to miss that it doesnt come with a fail safe.

I was a little confused as to why they didnt offer it with any of there kits or if Im just missing it. Either way I already ordered the kit so Ill see when it comes in.

If not are there any other alternatives to having to spend another 200 on the fail safes ?

i jsut ordered the isf-30 fail safe for my devils own kit. it seems to be one of the best fail safes i have seen. other than that, i dont know of any really reliable way to make a fail safe..

Drives: A Black Mamba in kill mode all day 'eh day as when I hit the gas she goes fast!

The IFS-10 is what I'd recommend from Labonte.

What's up Steven? I thought you were going the IFS-10 route. It's all good as I plan on getting the full complement of Labonte "toys" with my GT3076r turbo kit from ETS. I've been doing quite the research and although I like the HTA35r, the 3076r has a greater average whp/wtq than the HTA35r up to about 525whp and as close to 500wtq as possible. Check out the later pages of this thread as I've been posting my findings for my Fort Hood fellahs to view.

yea i like the 30 because if theres an electrical failure, it will still work, and it comes with the boost solenoid

Yea I still need to wait for a fail safe set up and a wide band or just get a zeitronix for both which is what Im leaning towards.

Its all hooked up and the monitor is nice. Nice options on it alone plus the peak feature is nice too. Boost and IDC work good too. Only now that its in I cant even start spraying because my innovative wide band **** the bed the day the kit came in. My second controlled so far. Sending it in to them again for testing and replacement. But like I said above probably going to op for a zeitronix set up.

Seems like I can't catch I break I sware. The kit is all installed and working fine. I decided to do a 3rd gear pull with the boost up more than normal just wanting to see if it would take it.

Come to find out I think my HKS EVC **** the bed because I cant get anymore than 25 psi out of it. Ive done boost leak tests regularly so there's no leaks.

I so far love the kit. The touch screen is great along with all the options it has.

I have since tightened up my waste gate 2 full turns and now Im seeing 26-27 psi normally and have increased my timing a whole lot. Before I was running around 0-1 * of timing at peak and 13-14 degrees up top.

Now Im running 6-7* at peak and 21-22* up top.

Heres a pic of before and after. You should be able to tell the difference.
