Meth users i need some fast help...
I have a question to all meth users. I have SMC meth kit installed (nothing in it yet). I was reading somewhere that I should make some sort of hole on top so air can get in it. Can anyone confirm this? Also if meth does evaporate is there anyway I can route the vapors outside the car so it won't be dangerous to smoke next to my trunk?
This is how it is mounted:

I'm not familiar with putting a hole in your meth tank to vent. You wont have to worry about the meth evaporating if the tank is sealed.

Dont vent anything on the tank. Meth is a Hygroscopic substance, witch means it will absorb water molecules from the surrounding environment. so if you have it vented it will dilute you mixture very quickly. you want you tank to be as air tight as poss.

^^ One purpose of meth bought in stores is to remove water from gas tanks.

ahhh.....ok.....adding meth to gas cannot "remove" water from gas. the reason meth is added to gas is because water will not mix with gas and it will seperate. gas is lighter than water so the water will sink to the bottom and gas will float on it. meth on the other hand will mix with gas a little better. so when you add it to your tank it will soak up the water and then be able to mix with gas so instead of your fuel pump sucking up basically straight water the water will be mixxed through out the entire tank of gas so the water is burned off in small amounts.

I've always used a vented cap. Maybe we need an engineer to chime in here regarding the pump being able to create suction strong enough to pull meth out of a container that strong. I can tell you from experience and over 2 years of using meth that I have never had a problem with this and have always used a vented cap. With a vented cap and a 4 gallon meth container in my trunk I've never smelled meth anywhere in the car unless there was a leak. I'm very used to the smell so if a couple drops hits the carpeting in the back I can smell it in the cabin but I also check it regularly. I've always used vented caps and have never had an issue but on that same note, a full tank of meth has never lasted more than 2 weeks that I can recall. You can get vented caps very cheaply and shipped very quickly from Flambeau. http://fluids.flambeau.com/caps/caps_2none4th_inch.html

someone had an issue with the meth tank caving in at the track because it wasn't vented??? It was a few months and I can only remember vaguely.

my cap has a small almost pin hole sized opening in the middle. the methanol should not evaporate through that little hole. I have left the car undriven for days and never did I observe a noticable amount of fluid loss. Besides, if your are driving it the way most are...your not going to have time to allow to evaporate
regarding the tank that imploded; that was attirubed to a strong pump sucking out the methanol and the air with it. Think of a little kid drinking a juice box through a straw trying to extract every last bit of sugary goodness. that juice box usually implodes because of how air tight things are around the straw.

The tank is fine in the trunk. The meth wont evaportate fast enough to cause and harm.
