Water Meth? Summit Racing says you can use windshield washer fluid?

I saw an ad for water methanol injection in summit racing a while back and they claimed you can use windshield washer fluid. I like the gains you get from these kits so I was wondering how true this claim is. I don't need a full methanol injection but I would love the idea of injecting a fluid as cheap as windshield washer fluid. I hope I don't sound stupid but I am just ignorant to the subject. Someone wwho is knowledgeable on the subject please let me know. Thanks guys!

methanol might be cheaper than windshield fluid. you can get washer fluid for $1 a gallon, i get 100% meth for about $3.50 a gallon and dilute it 50% with DI water, depending on how you drive that can last about 2-3 months.

im not sure how long washer fluid will last.

You really should never let your meth sit in your reservoir for more than a few weeks since it will absorb too much water from the atmosphere and dilute your mixture rather quickly. Plus you can get phase seperation between the two I believe.

I used to use it all the time, just make sure you have one of the better filters because my nozzles would get tiny particles in them. I never checked to see if it was cause of the fluid specifically though.

Yeah, the real problem with using the washer fluid is the methanol content is inconsistent and the fluid is generally not free of foreign particles. This is the method I was going to use on my 2g DSM, but true distilled water and meth is much better.

yes you can use window washing fluid, but not just any one...you need to find the ones that don't use extra crap mixed in with them so read the lable first.

Certain dye's can pose some serious reliability issues so do some research about it.

My buddy is running windshield washer fluid. It has like 5-10% methanol. You should just get 100% meth and add 50% water to it.
