need quick fix...two things see pics.. meth injection

one side of the booster moter is leaking and i can not find a replacement part...any suggestions

ok umm, two of the pics are of your PCV on the valve cover, or lack there-of. Nothing to do with alky injection. That's oil you see everywhere, blowing out from that hole/fitting.

Second pics, is it the 90° fitting off the pump that is leaking? Try contacting snow performance, since they made the kit

That's your easiest bet. Otherwise some people have posted where to get the quick-connect fittings like that on here somewhere, search a little I guess.

We can get you a complete set of pump fittings with our all-metal design for 7.50 if you need them.

How old is that system? We have not used those fittings or that pump generation for a looong time now.

that pump is junk. i'd just buy a new one.

get quick conect fittings for it. That is what alot of people in my town use.

pump is not junk, that is standard in most meth kits out today. THe fittings are probably leaking due to 100% meth, or multiple removal or installs. I use compression fittings where I can and McMaster-Carr quick connects for the rest.

no, that pump is old junk. that's probably an off the shelf rv water pump with a snow performance sticker on it. the latest pumps are the better ones to use. they actually have methanol resistant seals and are meant to be used at higher pressures. that pump in the pic still has the demand switch on it. i don't think anyone uses this type of pump any more.

like i said, it's junk. just get a new one.

Yes he could get a new pump but... The new pumps being "methanol resistant" and all, I still guarantee that pump will still leak after a year of 100% meth use. I have personally seen it.

Yes I would would replace the whole kit with a Aquamist kit but it would be easier and cheaper just to send the pump back to Snow and have them fix it. Good Luck!

LOL sarcasm... If anyone every has a problem with another kit of course I recommend the best, however it doesn't mean I seriously think he needs to replace it. Thats why I said he should send it back to snow or if he want fix it him self...

Just to clairify....

We never used a plain-jane Shurflo, we used them with EPDM seals and other modifications. Having said that, the new SHO pump is superior. Being that he is an existing customer, we also help him out that regard even if the system is extremely old.

Come to think of it, I think we may have already handled this one.

lol snowtech maybe you're new at snow but you guys used to use an ag pump with viton seals. in fact, the really old school kits needed check valves because the old shurflo pumps didn't have the built in check valve function that they do know. i also remember the first snow kit i worked with had a blue controller and used compression fittings instead of the john guest type.

anyways, you may not use shurflo at all now but to say you never used a plain-jane shurflo pump is a flat out lie.
