Jeff has a slightly simplified version, intended to keep the tank and pump close together.

Ben J,

Pre-turbo is something still quite new to me, but we have sold quite a few brackets but rarely get any feedback - perhaps it is not something one can access accurately without a number of sensors.

You can try reading this link and makes some sense from it:

Thanks Richard. I read over that thread and another from that forum and I'm still trying to understand it all myself. From the parts that I have deciphered, it appears that one of the big advantages of pre-turbo injection is spooling the turbo faster, which is an advantage when running a bigger turbo. Additionally, pre-turbo injection makes the turbo act like a bigger turbo. Seeing as though I'm running a 30r variety turbo, quick spool isn't the larger of my worries, but it would still be nice to have a fatter powerband. The major downside from what I have read is the possible damage to the turbine blades if the meth isn't injected at dead center or doesn't atomize quick enough; something that I will have to contend with when it comes decision time. Another question that I have for you is direct injection in the Intake manifold. After talking with Jeff, we also briefly discussed direct port injection with the addition of injecting before the Throttle body, in the upper intercooler pipe. Would I see any beneficial gains to direct port injection over simply injecting before the throttle body?

Thanks,

Ben

I was confuses with preturbo before and I am now as clear as mud.

Joke aside, when you said pre-throttle, do you literally mean right in front of thr throttle plate?

From what I have read, I would want to inject about 6" before the throttle body...

I am not an expert on thermal dynamics. There is little opportunity for the wate/meyhanol droplets to evaporate. Chances are the droplets will be splattered all over the throttle plate and end up being bigger, not ideal for intercooling nor good cyclinder distribution.

Another question for you Richard...sorry for the bombardment...but when and if I decide to go direct port injection, will meth have any adverse effect on my aluminum intake manifold over time and if I inject before the injectors, will the meth in anyway damage the injectors?

It is available from Howerton Engineering, Jeff Howerton designed and manufactured them.

He is an aquamist dealer but the tank is suitable for other water injection systems.
