HELP!! Meth Tank Cap
I was going to work this morning and topping off my meth tank and when I went to put the cap back on I noticed that it split!! (No wonder I was smelling meth in my car )
Does anyone know where I can find a top to a meth tank (2 1/4") without having to order it online from USP or a company direct? I want to pick one up locally, does Home Depot or Lowe's or something like that carry something like this?

Where are you located? You have one of the typical tanks on here that most seem to be using?
If you are near Bedminster NJ I might be able to help you out with a cap from a tank that was drilled for a float wrong.

If you want a larger tank ever....
And I think that methanol is supposed to be an odorless gas right?

I can smell meth when I use my IC sprayer, windshield spray, and sometimes when I purge at a stoplight, and I am only at 50%

ok, you're right. I think I just never smell it since I know its toxic so I am very careful when handling it.

I wonder if this is a common problem my cap split on my aem meth kit and im running denatured alky so i can really smell it. Question does the cap make a seal in the system to maintain pressure in the system or is it simply used to keep the liquid within the container

If you guys are using non vented caps, that might be the reason for the cracking. im just guessing tho.

Mine have never cracked in over 5 years of using meth on DSM's and the Evo, but I always use vented caps. Pressure is going to build in there and the caps are weaker than the tanks (thank goodness or else the tank might split). Here is a new product to check out, the strainer - http://fluids.flambeau.com/component....html#strainer not sure how you fill up but this is chemical resistant. I love mine. I use a battery operated pump to pull from a 5 gallon jug to my container. The caps are here - http://fluids.flambeau.com/caps/caps_2none4th_inch.html Get a vented, you won't smell it in the car, and it won't crack (at least mine hasn't in over 2 years of using the same cap on a couple different containers)
