I have not yet planned the upgrade path. The HFS-6 is very differerent from the HFS-5, I don't think it is economically viable to ditch 50% of the components on the HFS-5.
Here is a simplified wiring diagram of the HFS-6:

Those connectors are RJ45 network hub type connectors.

This is very exciting. Glad to see things are progressing along for the HFS-6
I can imagine the install instructions now -
"Plug everything in, fill meth tank, spin tires, smile."
I know there is a bit more to it than that, but it is a BIG improvement over HFS-1 and 5 kits.
Richard - Will you make an HFS-1 equivalent with the new components? An HFS-2 perhaps?

Hello Abner,
Yes, the valve and the flow sensor is combined into one unit. It is pre-wired to a RJ45 connector. The entire unit is user serviceable.
We have designed a new HSV to offset the rising cost of the old HSV. It has taken us nearly 14 months. It will be manufactured in house, along side the flow sensor. It is based on the Medium speed valve. We have changed the magnetic and internal to closly matching the linearity demanded by these type of IDC system. The new valve s slighly slower than the orignial HSV, about by 0.9mS. This delay offset will be nulled out by running a constant frequency PWM signal.
No more tears on ruining the previous HSV valve. Replacement valve stem will be around 30-40 dollars instead on 290.00+ dollars.
As before, the in/out ports are 1/8 BSP female, user can any types of alternative fittings.

I must give it a serious thought if the HFS-1 can be made into a "plug and play" system.

Holy smokes Batman. I might have to get this kit no matter what the price. Just need 2-+12v conecctions and 2-gnd connections and then tap the injector wires. This should be like a 1.5 hour install.
I have always liked your products, but the proce has been a little too high to me. You guys have definitely outdone yourselves on this one.

Here's a comparison.......not one for one since this is more detailed and has a MBC added on, just figured it may be good to visually see the effect of the new version.........end users and tuner/installers are going to LOVE the new "6".

We will probably under some criticism from other makers by using ethernet connector of automotive applications. I believe most mobile installation with some computer system will use this tyype og connector or optic fibre link. This incluces plane and trains.
The DDSv10 uses RJ45 for the gauge link, so far we have not received any reported problems. The gold plated contact surfaces is a plus for moist air ingression, resulting good corrosion protection.
As regarding current handing, it is good from microamps to amps (2A inrush), but H6 don't have current drains over an amps.
