Information Needed

Hey All.

I Own a JDM E8 GSR, and I live in australia, and im amazed at the huge HP you guys are getting out of such low octane fuel + water/meth injection.

Now, I was wondering if you guys could help me out with some information and advice on which direction to take.

I would really like to run a WI set-up on my car using the standard intercooler spray reservoir. Would this be possible?

What would be required?

Currently the vehicle is stock, and runs on 98ron fuel. I would really like to put a front pipe & dump pipe on it with a walbro fuel pump, a water injection kit and then flash tune it to run on 95 ron E10 fuel.

Would this be possible? What would you recommend?

Regards,
Alex

hi there, here are 2 threads that will help you understand the fundamentals of water alcohol injection - topics covered include the importance of full atomization, a system that is predictable - important to get a stable tune, failsafe etc.

Indepth study of WAI injection systems
There are failsafes, failsafes and failsafes...

the resevoir is not a good choice b/c it is not made to seal well from dirt/dust, also it gets warm in there which might change the alcohol to water mix if you are not using a lot of it. lastly...incase of an impact, alcohol/fuel splashing on the hot exhaust manifold might be a fire hazard.

Agreed. If you are looking for a stealthy install there are several documented here on evom. I feel like keeping the container away from the engine bay and all the hot components is best.
