Our new smart controller has some really great features. This device is universal can work with ANY kit on the market. You can even use it to turn your single input (0-5V based) progressive controller into a true 2D mapping system for existing progressive controller kits. If you have a boost switch based kit, you can throw your boost switch away and use this instead.
On a high level here are the basics.
7 channel datalogger. extensive datalog software is included and free. sensors you can read and define are as follows: 4 0-5V inputs, 2 frequency inputs and 1 millivolt input (EGT for example). In otherwords, EGT, RPM, MAF, MAP, TPS, Air temp...and more.
You can get your RPM signal at your ECU.
Failsafe. Our optional status monitor or flow sensor can connect to the unit and either disable your boost controller IF the system is not injecting due to any problem. We have had customers integrate Knock sensors and wideband units as well.
Meth injection controller You can activate your meth injection with this unit. You can integrate RPM, MAF, MAP (if avail in your car), EGT or any other input you need. You can very easily setup multiple stages and set conditions onto which they inject. For instance, you can integrate your wideband, if you run lean you can make a 2nd stage turn on (as well as your failsafe).
Device Activation:. There are 5 programmable outputs you can use to turn on/off devices such as Nitrous or water injection. How bout using it with your map clamp? If the system is flowing activate your map clamp otherwise de-activate it. You can use any of the 7 inputs or combination of inputs to determine when to turn on/off your devices.
RPM window switch. Not only is it a single RPM window switch, but it has 5 outputs so you can set multiple windows for different devices.
Flow sensor integration You can integrate any flow sensor on the market into this unit and set your exact flow window or requirements for your failsafe. Our flow sensor will be avail shortly as well.
Convert Signals to 0-5V You can convert any one signal to a 0-5V. For instance, if you want to convert your MAF to a 0-5V (or RPM, or any other), you set the min/max range that you want to covert and tell it under what conditions (if any) to send the 0-5V. You can also take 2 inputs and enter them in a table to create a 0-5V output.
Progressive controller output 2D grid mapping. You can use this device to create a grid to map any 2 inputs and send to your progressive controller. By doing this you can take into affect 2 inputs. For example, MAP/TPS, MAP/RPM, MAP/Air temp, MAP/EGT, TPS/AIT, RPM/AIT, etc. This will make any progressive controller more accurate. The progressive controller must have a 0-5V input (any controller that you connect to your MAP sensor for example). Lets assume you have a controller that uses your MAP sensor as input. If you are at 15 PSI you will get same flow rate if you are at 100F outside or 25F. Or you will get the same flow rate if you are 15 PSI and 2000 RPM or 15 PSI and 8000 RPM. With 2D Grid mapping that is a thing of the past. If either of the 2 inputs increase or decrease, the flow rate will increase or decrease.
Setup is simple. Connect your laptop to initially program it. If your setting up the 0-5V output, just setup your inputs, your grid and enable the output.
complete smart injection documentation is in this link below. Keep in mind that we made this very extensive so you can get some great ideas. You can make this as simple or as complicated as you need. Its up to you, the customer to determine what you want to to. Smart injection can take you there..that is if you can imagine it.
