Aquamist HFS-1, GM BCS, and Tephra v5: together at last!
Like ebony and ivory, I have my Aquamist HFS-1, GM BCS, and tephra v5 working in perfect harmony on my car. Boost is semi-dialed in so that my base map hovers around 21psi and my alt map hovers around 26psi. Base map is a basic pump gas tune I put together for myself, and the alt map is a modified version of my tune from my SMC alky kit. Both need refinement, but you get the idea of how awesome these technologies working together is!
video:
I donated money to Tephra, did you?
There is no fancy footwork here, there are no extra switches. I have a 240k resistor running from a 12v source in the dds junction box that is switched on and off using the dds and then runs to pin 42 of my ecu. Simply turn dds off and you drop down to a standard pump gas tune. If any of the standard failsafe catches on the aquamist kit are hit, it falls back to the pump gas tune (and low boost) as well.
edit: more tuning, more boost, more power. Pump gas is ~24psi, alky 29psi (peak).
Power comparison, alky on vs alky off. 40whp available at the push of ONE button (on/off on the dds gauge, as seen in video):

318whp/298wtq straight pump gas, 358whp/348wtq w/ the alky on. Two independently tuned, perfectly safe maps on one car, ready to rock
So what happens when the failsafe is triggered mid-run? Here is empirical evidence of how your engine will be saved. Instead of going lean, the ecu reverts to the pump gas map and goes rich:
Furthermore, boost drops to a safe level:

GM BCS gets wired in place of the factory boost control solenoid to control boost and help eliminate taper as seen whenused by a standard MBC.
Tephra is a guy, v5 is the newest version of his hacks for the stock evo ECU. Look in the ecuflash forum for more info.

Just saw the video... fantastic!!!
This is the first time I see this great work by Jamie and Tephra. This should done on an EVO straight from factory years ago. Luckily they didn't, we will be out of business by now.
There is a +5V source on the DDS3 board if anyone wants to contact me how to link it to the M. SW1 output.
The next phase will even be more exiting - working on it at the moment.

very nice vid man...
quick question though..
i could have sworn that when you turn the guage on.. the B should not light up unless you are building boost or when the nozzle(s) start spraying.. right?
why was yours always on, even before those bars were lit...
thanks

I don't think he has set up the failsafe window yet. Well spotted!

Correct, I have not set my low/high flow knobs yet, they are vaguely dialed in, will be doing this
What does the B and S (?) stand for anyways?

"B" is indicating "high boost enabled" during MW injection. If the flow is outside of the failsafe window, it will drop out.
"S" indicate the successful detection a working "digital flow sensor" .
Quick adjustment:
Set the "SC" to show about 5/6 bars. Set "WL" 10 clicks clockwise and "WH" 10 clicks counter-clockwise. Advance those click until a false trigger is experienced and wind back 3-5 click the opposite way. That is it.

It appeared to me this failsafe interface is extremely cost effective, no MBC or splicing is necessary.

Looks awesome!
One question for ya, Does the system react quickly enough to act as a failsafe? If you shut the Alky down in the middle of the pull would the map switch fast enough. Great work.

It reacts instantly. About 3milliseconds I believe is what Tephra stated.
