Question To leave on or not to leave on, that is the question...

OK, so I have an HFS-5, and, to be completely honest, I don't go through too much juice on a day to day basis. In fact, there are some days that I probably don't even make it into spray.

So here's my question- should I just turn the DDS3 off until I'm ready to use it? Is there a real difference in component life leaving it on vs. turning if off when I don't think I'll be using it?

And one last question - for those who have the DDS3, does your idle go up when you turn off the unit? Mine jumps to about 12-1300 RPM when I disengage it.

This is unusual. is the +ve supply to the FIA2/DDS3 tapped to the ECU?
