Question Boost Failsafe?

Coolingmist,

I plan to use a boost failsafe. So, in the event that the failsafe is activated the system should go to WGA spring boost. I am using a Blitz EBC!

What will be the recommended setup? What additional hardware may be required? Do you provide this solution?

I am assuming a bypass valve to be activated on system failure. Please advice!

Hi David,

Thanks for answering my question!

However, can you elaborate on how the wiring for this application will look like? I own a Blitz iColor SBC and was wondering how would you wire the Smart Controller to disable my Blitz in the event of a failure. Here is the link of the Blitz manual!

I was thinking last night what will be the easiest way to force wastegate pressure if something goes wiring. BTW, a standard diagram on how to connect the Smart Controller and a typical aftermarket EBC will be very helpful.

BTW, can you PM pricing and/or purchasing information?

Joe I will PM you.

Let me ask you this...what happens if your boost controller is turned off? does your vehicle drop to stock wastegate pressure?

Does your boost controller have a simple ground wire?

Honestly! I have not tried!

The system has a single ground!

I understand the logic to use the ground output to turn off the EBC if something goes wrong. Makes sense!

However, I want to be able to turn the system on and off and still have control of the EBC. My plans are to have two different programs... one for pump only and one for alky!

Got your PM! Will be calling you to discuss some details!

sounds good, I will wait for your call. We have alot of ways to do some really cool stuff with the Smart Controller. For example, lets say that on your Alky Map, you want to disable the boost controller if there is an issue. It does that the way we programmed it. Now lets say that during a time you dont want to disable your boost controller for what ever reason.....you can hook up a rocker switch to one of the inputs and configure it during the software that IF the switch is on, dont ever disable the boost controller under any condition.

This is the beauty of our system, it really can do almost anything you can imagine.

David

Thanks alot Joed This kit is setup to be very simple (already configured, plug an play). Those that want something more detailed can do just about anything they can think of.

Anyone else have any questions let us know!
