Aquamist pump question

The other day I noticed my pump was leaking, or what seemed to be the pump. I drained the sytem, took it out of the car and took it apart. Nothing looked like it would keep the seal from sealing. The cap with the pump section attached to it seemed a little loose. I put it back together and reinstalled it. Now the pump won't pump. Now for my question. There are 3 springs inside the pump with plastic cone shaped pieces in the springs. Which way do the cone shaped pieces point to, towards the motor or away from the motor? These seem like the only part I could have put on backwards

I have had these apart and can help get the issue resolved, but if you can post images I can insure the help will be better.

Heres an attempt without images and from memory:

Pump head gets attached to pump body with 3 self tapping machine screws. The pump assembly attaches to the motor body with 3 fine threaded screws. Typically I rest the the pump on its mounting plate to work on = sideways.

Do not lose the plastic tappets or the springs as they are tiny and like anything small are easy to lose.

With the pump head separated from the pump body, you will find 3 springs & 3 white plastic cone shape tappets.

The long end of the tappets get inserted into the springs and the spring/tappets get inserted into the spring cavities in the pump head.

The pump head gets attached to the pump body insuring the springs/tappets do not fall out or do not get misaligned with the pump diaphragm thats part of the pump body (cream w/ 3 round humps).

The back end of the pump has a gear that fits onto the motor shaft. Align the pump head to the motor so that the clip thats molded into the pump head that secures external wiring is at the 6 o'clock position if the pump was looked at from above and the pump mounting plate was at nearer to you're body.

Screws should be very tight but not over torqued. Probably one of the only places in the W/A kit were a person needs to use strength (but reasonable.......= not holding together a space shuttle)

I had the springs and cone shaped plastic things upside down. I got it working now. Thanks!!!

Cool, I got worried that I may not be able to help without getting visual. Not easy sometimes with conveying things via writing = sometimes too little, sometimes too much.
