alcohol/meth injection and rev limiter
I was just wondering what issues there might be in hitting the rev limiter when injecting?
Do you have to worry about a situation where the alcohol is injecting but the fuel injectors are not due to a fuel cut ordered by the ECU? (which would create an extremely lean situation)
For example, if you are running an HFS-1 system with two 1.0 mm jets triggered by a MAP sensor and you hit the rev limiter, the engine would still have quite a bit of "fuel" entering the motor even if the fuel injectors stopped altogether, but not enough to have a safe AFR. Seems like a situation that could throw a rod through the block in a hurry.
If you had a Zeitronix AFR-based failsafe, then it would probably save you, but with just the flow sensor based failsafe, would you be in trouble?
Am I correct in thinking that there is no risk of this with the HFS-5 or 2d system because the fuel cut would automatically cut the alcohol injection as well through the FiA?
Thanks.
