help!!! METH AND WATER MIX!! aquamist
ok so im getting the aquamist installed and tuned by Sean Ivey and his mechanical on the 14th of sept. i wanted to know if there is anything special i have to do b4 this.
here are my mods.
Full Race exhaust manifold ATP 3037S/3076R turbo kit Pruven Performance custom made intake Pruven Performance custom made LICP Pruven Performance custom tune do i need NGK BR8ES plugs?
and when mixing the water and the meth, is there anything i need to know? anything special? i wanted to run 66% meth 33% water. do i simply just do 66% of 6 liters and add that to 33% water?
what size nozzle? the kit comes with .08 .09 1.0mm nozzles.

tap water leaves behind "residual" when it dries, which might crust around the jet orifice and reduce the aperture.
distilled water dries leaving nothing behind was what he was refering to

I'm presently running a 60% methanol/40% distilled water concentration on my Aquamist 2D system. I mixed 5 gallons of methanol and 4 gallons of distilled water. As for nozzle choice, what Aquamist system are you running?

The stock UICP is actually pretty beefy in thickness. Here's a link to my install on the Aquamist forums. Scroll down and you'll find a pic of my nozzle mounted in the UICP: http://www.aquamist.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=654
As for the nozzle, I would run at least a 1mm nozzle since you have a larger percentage of methanol to water. I'm currently running twin .8mm nozzles on my set up. SlowCar is running twin 1mm nozzles, that's probably even the better way to go with your Aquamist/Shureflow pump.

Yeah, there should be no problem tapping the UICP, just use the correct tap recommended by Richard and make sure you use Locktite Red along with your Aquamist brass fiitings. You want make sure they are secure and tight and that there are no leaks under boost.
As for spark plugs, I'm using Denso IW-22's (stock heat range replacement) gapped at 026 with no problems. I tried the colder IW-24's and was getting some high RPM spark blow out with the gap at 026. I want to get an ignition upgrade of some sort and run the colder plugs without having to reduce the spark plug gap.
