Snow install help

I have the Snow STG 2 (MAP type) with the old Safe Injection and the Zeitronix ZT-2 with the ZAVT-1 alarm/trigger. I am trying to figure out how to connect both to a bypass solenoid for the boost controller. I know I have to use a relay for the ZAVT-1.

here is a diagram I drew that I believe will work I just need someone's expertise to approve my diagram.

the diagram is attached

feed the output of the SI into the zeitronix AUX, use a resistor to reduce 12VDC to 5VDC. Trigger the failsafe using AUX/afr and boost.

or since you got the zeitronix, leave the SI out as the zeitronix is a far superior failsafe than the SI

You cant wire it that way. If you are using the ZAVT-1 it is conected to the AUX Input. You cant have the AUX input and the ZAVT-1 according to the instructions.

is your zeitronix the newer or the older version? the older one will only allow if AUX (voltage > X volts, trigger). The newer version allows both AUX < or >, trigger.

I have the newest version. Its only about 2 months old. I think I understand what you are saying now about the SI to the AUX input. I have to figure out the resisitor size.

I will be using the 375ml/min jet and I think the SI trigger is when flow is <180 ml/min.

I just got home from getting my IC installed and the mounting bung for the nozzle welded in. I am gonna run the wires to the pump and everything and see what voltage the SI puts out when triggered so I can find the correct resistor to put inline.

Thanks Abner I never thought of using a resistor to trigger the ZT-2. I suck at electronics too, if its mechanical I can figure it out.

one more thing.....can you check with zeitronix or scott@ttp if the ZT2 can perform such a complex trigger:

If (boost >10psig) -and- (afr > 12.0) -or- (aux < 5VDC), trigger

dont remember if you can mix (-and-) and (-or-) because in the scenario that there is a partial clog where flow is below 375 but above 180, and you have:

If (boost >10psig) -and- (afr > 12.0) -and- (aux < 5VDC), it will not trigger....
