methanol mixtures
ok, so after doing alot of reading and talking to a few people, i have come down to there are a few mixtures that guys are running, its between straight alky or straight methanol of course, but also to mix meth with distilled water, or the windshield fluid and heet (98-99% methanold).
what are the positives and negatives of these mixtures?
also compare prices of different mixtures.

200 proof methanol is only corrosive to reactive metals like Zn, Al...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methanol
One of the drawbacks of methanol as a fuel is its corrosivity to some metals, including aluminium. Methanol, although a weak acid, attacks the oxide coating that normally protects the aluminium from corrosion:
6 CH3OH + Al2O3 → 2 Al(OCH3)3 + 3 H2O
The resulting methoxide salts are soluble in methanol, resulting in clean aluminum surface, which is readily oxidised by some dissolved oxygen. Also the methanol can act as an oxidizer:
6 CH3OH + 2 Al → 2 Al(OCH3)3 + 3 H2
This reciprocal process effectively fuels corrosion until either the metal is eaten away or the concentration of CH3OH is negligible.
wetted parts in a WI system include nylon, santoprene, EPDM, nickel coated brass, Buna-N, Nitrile, austenitic stainless, polyethylene, polypropylene, delrin - all fairly stable in the presence of methanol

lots of good information on this subject from Richard and Jack
on injection mixtures:

Methanol cost about $25 to 30 for a sealed metal drum of +99% purity, tech grade
RO/Distilled water, ~$0.60 from the grocery stall

so what are the performance differences besides the cool down factor between 100% meth and 50/50 mix?

Additional octane, but to really take advantage of a high methanol injection mix you need to tune for it......which means that you need to get your failsafes mechanisms figured out, and make sure they work properly.

100% methanol.
P.S. don't **** with Slowcar. He will beat you with technical chemisty textbooks.

what is the advantage of using 100% methanol vs a 50/50 mix?

Higher octane, cooler intake charge, more ignition timing, less knock.

If meth is corrosive to Al, do we have to worry about it corroding our head?

On 50/50 mixes- what is the purpose of the water? Only for cooling purposes, or to dilute the methanol a little to make it less corrosive?
