Boost on Alky

Curious as to what kind of boost you guys are running on alky/meth/h2o injection on 91 or 93 octane. I'm in CA so 91 info would be prime, but I just need numbers. I might need to upgrade my map sensor from the GM 3 bar (28psi) to an AEM 3.5 (31psi) /5 (52psi) bar based on the answer.

I ru 26psi with 100 denatured alcohol and nozzle #7 on the SMC kit. I had run 28-psi before and I can peak 30psi as well. All this on 91oct

Well it looks like 30psi is about the max boost people run on an alcohol setup. Can anybody chime in that knows what setups allow for max boost? I also found out the GM 3 Bar allows for 31.1psi so it looks like I'll just stay with it for now until I find a reason to upgrade.

I take you can run that high of a boost due to the stroker kit?

When setup right, it appears that baby's got some balls

What kind of ducting did you use for that psi? What actuator setup?

None, it was on the rollers. Air intake was not an object of attention. This was however WITH MAF sensor on SAFCII + Meth injection and Hallman ProRx Evolution cranked to the max on a Forge WGA equipped with the red spring and some mild preload.

Since, we have moved to MAFTPro with EBC control, changed the Forge WGA to the blue spring (lighter), gone speed density No MAF. Boost control is set to 32.00psi on meth. It takes a certain load on the motor to achieve that boost. Such can be accomplished on a long pull from lower rpm in 4th or 5th gear for example.

Sorry for kinda thread jacking, but i've kinda been searching and have'nt found an answer to my simple question, but I dont think I should start another thread just for my questions... I'm in CA too. Where are you guys picking up your Alky refills? And where are you picking up meth? I've read in another thread that you can get tubs of it from Home Depot. But I'm reading all these alky/meth mixtures, 50/50, 100%.. and all this and I'm confused as hell. I'm trying to take this all in and understand, but I can't seem to get a good grasp on everything. So what percentage is the alky you can pick up from Home Depot? Because from what I understand, there's some meth in the alky there.. I'm seriously considering an alky kit for my IX, but I would like to understand most if not everything that I need to know before I take the step.

TIA guys.

You should be using methanol, not alky for max power.

VP M1 methanol from you local VP Fuels dealer.
