Trunk Mount Water/Alcohol Tank

Does anyone make a tank that mounts in place of the spare tire? Like a round tank that fits right in there? Seems like it would be a good way to take a little weight off the front end and keep the CG as low as possible. Alternatively, how about a tank that fits up against the back seat that will fit in front of a rear strut tower bar?

as far as I know, no one makes a specific kit that mounts in either of those places but the MSC kit could be mounted in the spare tire well, you'd just need to signify you wanted it that way and Steve could set up the pickup and low level sensor in the correct fashion. The only problem with the spare tire well is if the tank is wide and short, the meth/alky/H20 will slush around alot and cause the low level light to come on often. The pickup could also suck air if the fluid slushed away from it. I'm sorry but I cannot think of a better word then slush at the moment. What you'd really need is a tank thats wide and short but has a dip in the middle that goes down maybe 6-8 inches, but that probably wouldnt fit down there unless you cut a hole in the trunk floor.

What about if it had baffles or foam in it similar to the stock gas tank? Do aftermarket fuel cells use foam or baffles?

Also, can an aluminum tank be used in methanol applications, or would it have to be specially coated on the inside to resist corrosion?

Thanks!
