Where to buy METH or ALKY

ok well I was wondering where all you guys buy/order your alcohol for your alky injection kits.

do you guys use Meth or alky?

which one is the most cost efficient and which works the best?

and most importantly where do you buy it froma nd how much do you pay?

I'm pretty sure i've seen Meth at Home Depot, I could be wrong tho?

this has been covered ALOT..

I know you can get denatured alcohol at home depot. But I have yet to see meth...

From what I have been told from creditable sources, is that you will see the same gains from alky as you do meth. Alcohol is more expensive, so if you can find a chemical supply company and but 55 gallon drums for 150.00 then by all means do it that way.

Al once said that meth was his first choice, then alcohol, and then something else...

Personally I will be forced to use alcohol as I cant seem to find a RELIABLE source in my town. One thing is for sure, if you are tuned for meth, you have to keep using meth..

Check Go-Kart supply stores, they use methanol heavily in race motors. Also you can try hobby shops since methanol is used in RC engines.

I personally like to run either 100% Denatured Alcohol (Home Depot as well as other varios sources) or a 50 Denatured Alcohol/50 Distilled Water mix. Methanol is used all the time has a lot of corrosive properties where Denatured Alcohol doesn't. Methanol when left in the bottle for long periods of time will also turn some of the mixture into water due to its chemical properties when left with 02 from the air for periods of time.

Alky I get for about 4 bucks a gallon but thats because I get it through my work. Methanol I have a local vendor who sells 5 gallons for about 50.

I get meth from an off road buggy shop. $4 a gal. I mix 50/50 with distilled H2O.

/\ good question and this price will vary depending on where your source is from..

You can get a 55 gallon drum of methanol from a chemical supply company for about $150.00 (so thats about 2.72 a gallon, call it 3.00). You can also get methanol from VP racing in the form of 5 gallon containers for 55.00 (thats about 11.00 a gallon plus shipping which is going to be a PITA since its so heavy..

Alcohol you can find at home depot, the price I am not sure on, I actually plan on going there today to stock up and seek-out a price..I'll report back with an exact price

ok, I just got back from home depot and here is the "down low"_

-They do not sell methanol.
-Denatrued alcohol is sold in two sizes:
-1 gallon (3.785 Liters) = $11.97
-quart = $4.99

Your local RC or hobby shop should sell meth but it is going to be expensive because you will probably only be able to get it in small quantities..

This is what I have found in my research, the more you buy of something at one time (alcohol/meth) the cheaper it is...

Why is this so hard. Pick up your yellow pages and lookup Speed shops. Call the closest ones to you and go get some. Easy as cherry pie

VP sells methanol in 5 gallon cans. Comes out to 5 or 6 per gallon. Any vp dealer will have it or can get it.
