it doesn't matter...you just want to keep moisture from gathering on the sensor when the car is not running, so anywhere on the top 90 deg. of the pipe....so just put it anywhere between 10 an 2 oclock, with 12 being the very top. One caveot....depending on which downpipe you have, and how far back towards the cat you place it.....beware of the driveshaft. I placed mine as close as I could to the cut-out in the body that the wires snake thru...and my sensor is a tad close to the driveshaft. had I welded the bung closer to 2 o'clock (looking towards the front of the car), I might have been rubbing the sensor lead on the driveshaft.

The blue and white are for something that will be entergrated into later XEDES. Just leave them tucked away for now. (Don't worry kids, we arent holding anything back from ya!)
Hi Vishnu,

I thought this was the best place to post a question here concerning this comment. I know we don't have to worry about them right now, but does your comment mean:

1.) The whole knock buffer will eventually be copied onto the XEDE PCB board / become an internal thing?
2.) The older XEDEs will (will be able to) use the Blue and White eventually?

I'm beginning to wonder if this knock buffer is effectively two buffers (two op-amps) in one chip? The Yellow and Pink is one path, and the Blue and White are the other path?

Thanks,

~j.

Difficulty: novice
install time: 30 min

Honestly, I think this really isn't a job for a novice. A novice can install an intake or change brake pads but this is a lot of wire routing and playing around with the xede...and 30 minutes? Maybe if you've already done it a whole bunch of times.

I'd like to get SMART but it seems awfully complicated and complicated things usually break.
