Thats basically what i was told that swayed me from the 6057 to the 5857. Hoping moving down from a 82mm exd to a 76mm exd will build power a bit sooner.

Yep, same reason why I'll probably go with the 5857. Did you go with the BB or Journal? .63 or .82 A/R? Same guy from Precision recommended the .63 housing for daily driver application, said the .82 could spool about 500rpm+ later.

I went with a journal bearing, .63, and a full 3" vband welded on. Its going on my 1.8t TT with a stroked 2008cc 10:1 motor. With what i have seen, i should see 20psi at 4k. The spool between the dbb and journal is minimum and since mine wont see above 22-24psi on 93, journal bearing will be fine since it comes standard with 360 race bearings. If i was planning on keeping it in the 30+ psi range, dbb would of been more ideal. Setup should make around 450whp on 22psi but we will see. Dont see a reason to run a .82 unless you plan on revving higher and taking the turbo to its limits more often. 400rpms of added lag is about right between the 2 housings
