Driven Innovations.. New Intake Manifold Lineup.. 8 Injector Setup for E-85!!!
We have been working hand and hand with Tom @ Driven Innovations to produce an 8 Injector manifold for those of us running E85.. We have thoroughly Tested the previous unit and it has held up to 50psi of Boost and abuse of an 8.75et Evo.. The unit has been Great..
This unit is now closing in on its final stages of production.. What we have to show you is a protoype of the newest unit.. Notice the Injectors are not placed side by side in a single rail for a total of 8 but staged further up the runner to aid in the cooling effect given by running ethanol Fuels.. We beleive this is the Proper way to setup an 8 injector manifold.. The fuel rail setup will accept any rail that fit the stock location including stock rails.. This manifold will be going on our 8 second race car for final testing and then will be released to the public.. Ill keep the thread updated as we progress further with more testing..
Also, we will be pairing this with a Boomba Throttle Body for the testing..If you have any questions dont hesistate to ask.. If we dont have the answer we will get it for you from Tom.. Thanks!!
Mike
The Beautiful extra 4 injectors on the Bottom and up the runner..

Looks very similar to the AMS VSR design when it comes to runner size and shape, also trumpet design...interesting!
Are those runners not welded up? I see lines on the inside of the runners?

The pics that show the inside of the runner there appear to be cracks?
What are those dark lines in those parts of the runner?

The longer the fuel has to atomize the better, having the fuel injected further away from the valve is a benefit.
This thing WILL perform, how well is yet to be seen!!!
Keep us in the loop mike and LMK about those seams/lines in the runner.

What you are seeing is where the billet piece is joined to the rest of the runner..

Looks good, but it seems that DI is a step behind with the welding of it. What I mean is AMS, Magnus did a sheet metal intake yrs ago and now both are moving to Cast. Any reason why or is this just a test version and it will be cast?

Those companies are moving to cast because they are cheaper to produce.. Driven has no plans of moving to cast.. I like the hand welded sheet metal intakes.. If its not splitting at the seams i have no problem with sheet metal.. It doesnt make anyone a step behind.. Look around the Pro Cars that run $10k Manifolds.. They are sheetmetal also..
