Custom Evo 9 Clutch master cyl. Conversion=No more breaking!

Are you guys experiencing broken clutch master cyl? Does your clutch pedal just go to the floor? This happened to us previously 2x and we weren't going to stick around for the 3rd. After seeing a few of these threads popping up we decided to do something different. We had a metal evo 9 clutch master cyl. fabricated to fit the evo x clutch pedal assembly. We will be offering these as a kit both Installed and or made for you. Big thanks goes out to Tom at NRG-Tech for the Fab work and Slonez for the inspiration!

By doing this we believe it will be impossible to break the clutch master cyl now and there will also be no need for any type of clutch master rings to prevent the stock plastic cyl. from snapping in half under hard driving.

Initial impressions so far:

Great stiff pedal feel.(we have an exedy twin hd)

Can also be adjusted to stock pedal height with the Helm Joint.

-$650.00 w/ core

-$850.00 w/out core


Includes:

Conversion, Evo 9 Clutch Master Cyl.
( Oem Evo 9 Clutch lines are on global back order, you must order a AMS S.S Evo 9 Clutch Line!)


$650.00 W/ Core for "Do it yourself"

$750.00 w/ Core to have us Install

$850.00 w/out Core


Some other minor fabrication and trimming of the clutch master tunnel is needed to make this fit.

NOTE: Here are all the part numbers you will need when calling to order the parts yourself. This Does Not Include The Part Number For The Master Cyl!

It doesn't "grab" any higher. The pedal Itself lays at rest slightly higher than stock as compared to the brake/gas pedal. You get used to it rather quick.

It's nice being able to bang gears without having your clutch pedal slam the floor. So far so good!

I would think this would be risking pedal or mechanical damage. Did you put in a higher bumper or something to prevent putting too much pressure on the pedal since it no longer contacts the floor?

You read that wrong. I was saying It's nice to bang gears without having the stock evo x clutch master snapping in half which results in no clutch pedal. The stock master breaks and your clutch drops to the floor.

This solution will never break a clutch master cyl.

Evo 9 master cyl and evo 9 lines. That's all you will need.

The master cyl tunnel needs to be notched out a little bit in order to fit the new modified evo 9 master cyl clutch assembly through. The clutch pedal will also sit an inch higher than stock when laying at rest.

You can buy the parts and send me the assembly and we can have the fabrication done as you see above for $200. If you would like to go into more detail, feel free to call me, I am here to 5 p.m! Thanks!

What a terrible design by Mitsu, cheap bastards!

Maybe there will be a TSB.

Congrats on the success! My nissan's master cylinder had to replaced 3 times, POS. I will definately be doing this mod on my evo in the near future
