Drives: 2005 evo iiiv

utec cable

I have bought a Utec for my evo 8. It is used, got it on ebay. I do not know what maps there are on it, Where do I buy a computer cable to find out? Do I need any special software?

Drives: ETS powered EVO VIII

You need a standard serial cable and a laptop or Pocket PC with a serial port. You don't need any special software. It uses hyperterminal to connect PC to UTEC. My recommendations to you would be to go to the Turbo XS website download the 1.7 film ware flash it back to stock. Get the PDF UTEC manual so you know how it works and to tune it. They don't have maps for the 05 EVO but you can drive on the 04 maps. Find some one near you with a Dyno and have them tune it for you.
