The UTEC is crazy powerful. You can tune nearly every aspect of your car and have control of it yourself. People are selling them because they either don't want to take the time to tune the car themselves or can't find a shop that tunes it. Also, TXS hasn't come out with any software for it in like 3 yrs. If you can pick one up with the Tuner wideband for cheap, do it. It's the most bang for your buck. Also, search the forums and download the "UCC". It's a software inteface that works pretty well with it.

The UTEC is a nice unit and works well, but since ECUFlash it is really not neccessary. The control on the stock ECU is more advanced and in some cases easier to tune. All you will get with a UTEC is the ability to switch maps at the touch of a button and a few other tricks that honestly wouldn't make it worth it to me if I were to buy it now.

I used the UTEC for a long time and it suited my purposes well, but now I am learning to use ECUFlash and already like it more for my setup and what I want to do with the car.

I had the UTEC, sold it. I now have the AEM EMS. I agree with DCsleeper, the ECUFlash seems to be doing great things now. If you are are going real deep with mods, then I say get the AEM or another stand alone. TurboXS is not keeping up with their product in my opinion.

However, use extreme caution with the AEM, it takes a lot of tweeking and a great tuner to make this bad boy perform.

The UTEC has a lot of good features it's easy to tune I like the launch control feature with flat foot shifting. As for Turbo XS support I will never buy anything from them ever again. I like the UTEC and I use ECU Flash. I don't like the Super AFC it's not even close to what a UTEC can do.
