Perrin EBCS with Utec

Anyone running a ebcs with their utec for boost tuning? This is what I did on my subie and worked well. For the evo,
1. still hook up the WG to port 1 and turbo to 3, leaving port 2 open for the Evo?
2. I'm running a stock turbo so a good starting # would be for say 20psi?
Thanks, and I did try to search first, no luck.

You can configure it as a restrictor system or a bleed system.. I have the info but not here offhand. You can basically use the normally open port to run to the boost source, the common port to run to the Wastegate, thats the restrictor system and it works pretty well.

In a bleed system, you run the setup similar to the stock setup, boost source to a T, the T to the actuator, the other side of the T to the Solenoid's Normally closed port.

The first is a bit better for the stock turbo as it's faster responding, but can spike.

At this point still using the avcr for boost as I'm still not sure to use port 2 or 3 for the boost sourse (normally open/closed?) Don't know which is what. But I do remember when having the instruction that I cant find online or in my garadge that port 2 is fast response and 3 is slow. My subie with a vf22 was better on slow. The evo with a 16g I would assume the same.?
Also, there are two turbotrix maps on the utec. Boost is set at 75 and so using open loop. I'm going to use closed loop for transitioning the boost to tps/rpm.
So I'll have to change all the #'s. If nobody knows a good starting # for say 20psi, I'll just do the trial and error and post when I find the winning #. LOL
Peace
Happy tuning all.

I am using a GM BCS (open loop) in a restrictor fashion as Jack mentioned earlier. I am happy with the way that it works. Basically, there is less than 1 psi of spike the way that i have it setup. My boost map goes from 62 at peak boost to 68 at redline, this keeps me at 22-23 psi constant. The 22-23 all depends on ambient temperature, which is why I run two seperate maps. One for cold days and one for hot days.
