where are you guys mounting your bosch knock sensor?

i have the turbo xs knocklite and the bosch knock sensor that they recomend to be used with it. i read a post where someone bolted it to the block under the exhaust manifold by cyl # 2 and i tried that but the problem is the 2 threaded holes in the block are both 10mm holes and the hole in the knock sensor is only big enough for a 8mm bolt to fit thru. anyone have any ideas on where to mount this thing? i dont want to mount it in the head because ive been reading that if you have cams it makes it go crazy so thats out of the question.

yup, same issue here. I haven't found a convenient place to mount it on the block for the very same reason. I was going to swing by a specialty hardware store and find a reducing stud (ie. 10mm x 8 mm), but just haven't done it yet.

A quick and EZ place is the front engine hoist mount , or I think better yet, on the intake mainifold bolt near the #2 cylinder. a little valve train noise though.

Ideally as you probably know is as close to the stock mount as possible (side nearest the firewall)
