Did you by chance, change all your rear lights to LED's, including the CHMSL?

This same thing happened to a friend of mine after we did his 02 housing install. How does the car behave when the lights come on?

It turned out that when we put it back together, a coupler clamp on his intercooler piping was rubbing against the wires coming out of his MAF causing it to short and throw codes. Just an idea, and it only takes a few seconds to inspect. Just make sure the bolt on the clamp is no where near the MAF wiring.

Best bet is to get the codes read.

to me previous comment. there is also a voltage problem check for all 3 lights.
when I switched ALL my rear lights to LED, they would set off all 3 ACD lights after about 1/2 an hour of running.
now, I keep my CHMSL as a regular bulb.

it means your ACD pump is not acting correctly. The first time my center diff went the lights went on and when my ACD pump went the lights went on as well... but i also noticed on a friend of mines evo9 when he had a taillight out the acd lights went on

basically mitsubishi likes to freek people out by these..

bring it to a dealer and have them test the acd pump to make sure its working ( also when mine went u could feel the different of driving when all lights went on, kinda felt like a clutch was slipping)

Not neccessarily, I had the same issue. After taking it in it turned out to be a bad crash sensor. One of the ones that signals an impact for the air bag. since it was clear that there was never an impact it was replaced under warranty. I have a mildly modded engine and a moderately modded suspension/etc.

I think those lights can signal any number of problems.

That being said, the advice is correct. Take it to a trusted dealer and have them check the codes.

If you are in south jersey, consider making the drive to CBRD. They have a great relationship with the local dealer there who is very mod friendly. While you are getting work done have them take it in. This is what I did.

GL!

I started getting all three lights after I put in a mini battery; I assume voltage issues. They go out after I restart the engine. I have never had a problem with the ACD.

any number of things can cause that error. Theres a tool (I think its the mut-ii) that can read acd codes.

But to start, check acd fluid level and verify all the sensors like cbrd suggested. ABS sensors, steering angle etc. Anything that has anything to do with the acd.

The dealer should be able to pull the code for it, even though there's no CEL.

Your TPS not being set correctly also will cause all the ACD lights to come on.
