Track day setup. Interested?

When the weather gets nice, I would like to setup a track day, possibly during the summer or just before.

we could rent it out.

Here is what ARAS and I figured out.

with 30 people attending, you'll be paying $70 or $80 per each for the whole day at about 5 people running at the same time at 15 minute interval.

say 8 hour time then at 20 people running each hour, within 3 hours, you get 2 runs of 15 minutes.

we could have it 20 people, that could have people run a lot more, but you do have to cool your car down and take it easy, it's not an autox, it kicks the cars ass.

anyway, we have about 8 people that's willing to go from AL and GA.

I'd like to find out how many evo people are interested in going.

The meal will be included with the price as well as drinks.

Now, the people who's interested in going: (just cars)

12 sec NSX
Evo
Evo
Scion
350zx veilside
miata
maybe a vette
and few other cars depend on how much it is.

so, go ahead and show your interest, questions.

thanx.

What is required to do this? I've never been to the track yet.

Talladega, i think you've been there before G.

The requirement is that you change your oils, fluids, check your brake pads (lots of wear) and make sure your brakes are good, and tires are good. and bring your spare tire.

That along with safety equipment like helmets but that you could share with someone.

We've been contemplating about this for a while. we have a guy who could get a deal at the track for renting it out for the whole day.

anyone interested, please let me know or post your name on this thread.

The date isn't decided until we finalize how many people are going and the weather.

So besides the basic check up on the cars, all we need is a valid drivers license?

yes, that's all your need. I don't even think you need a valid drivers license, but it would help to comfort everyone that you wont crash into them. lol

that and money.

ok, we have 2 people so far from this forum.

come on, this will be great for people who's never been to the track before, like myself.

It'll give you the taste of what it's like to drive your car on a professional track!

Talladega would be the track that we got the deal on, but I'll check on Roebling.

But mostly likely it'll be Talladega track.
