You can't go wrong with a Bondurant Driving School but those can be very pricey.

Also, send her autocrossing. It is cheaper, and if it's anything like the auto-x here, any one of the instructors would be happy to hop in the passenger seat and teach her a little bit about car control.

seriously, she would learn more in a weekend there about car control before, at, and beyond the cars limits than weeks on on public street drivers education.

While I think that *everyone* should take a course with TDE or Apex, I don't think that that will teach real world skills to a 16 year old new driver. It will teach an already reckless driver to drive with more abandon

I know in OKC, they run teen driving schools at the Sheriff's track. You might see if you can find out the next time they are doing that. I want to say it's sponsored by an insurance company or something.

Actually, for most drivers it will instill in them they can't even coem close to driving like that on the street. For sure it cured me of my zooming and "street" racing tendancies. More than the speeds it helps to program your reflexes what to do if the car becomes out of control, (rain hydro plan ect)

Agreed. When she does, just let the instructors know about her situation, and maybe they can focus on a different skill set for someone who would be new behind the wheel. I am sure they would be very flexible about that.

We do this at Apex all the time. This is what our on track drills are designed to do. We are the only school in North Texas that does this. We also have a one day program. Try and get a teen to do anything for two days. LOL

I think that a new driver should be REQUIRED to take a performance driving school before applying for their drivers license. But like others have said, I definitely think look into TDE or Apex and get her a weekend class. Or as someone else also pointed out, even look into an autocross or so if you want something on the cheaper side.

oh i can control the power i have now, considering the roads where still wet from the huge storm last night, my tires where cold, and i was a little more worried about not getting a big ass truck plowed into my ribs. so i think i made the best split second decision. i get to come home, and my car is in one peice...

plus if my 35 was on, it wouldnt have spooled when the stocker did.

**** happens, everyone makes mistakes. just because i made one dosnt mean i cant handle my car.
