Suggestion for a new 'Sub-forum' in OT

hello everyone. I constantly think of how to make EvoM even better than it already is (just not sure why, yet ).

so, I had an idea of adding a sub-forum in OT. how about a sub-forum for "hobbies" such as Radio Controlled cars/planes (gas or electric), model cars (general collecting, or antique toys), and model kits... i would imagine that plenty of car enthusiasts, and other members of EvoM have such hobbies, and would enjoy discussing said topics with other members... (or perhaps even adding a "technical" sub-sub-section for gas powered RC cars)
i know there are entire forums dedicated to these topics, but why not try to have a small sub-section here on EvoM.

hope there is enough interest to give this a try.... so, ladies and gentlemen, what do you think ?? [if there are enough positive responses, perhaps the admins will give this serious thought]

other than 1 thread in evo general about toy cars for adults, I really haven't seen many comments about general hobbies.

well perhaps thats because it never really crossed people's minds....

what if such sub-forum is created, and once people see it, interest in the idea of "hobbies" picks up?

We don't usually create a new subforum unless there's already a demand for it. In the past, we've created sections hoping people would use them, and ultimately, they go untouched. We've found it best to wait until we see a need for it.

well the "gaming" and "photography" sub-forums dont get much traffic, and yet they are still an important addition to the community, so who knows

We will look into it, but Robert and otter do have valid points also..

I'd like to see one for R/C Hobbies, I'm big into Helicopters. I would like to know if other members are, and be able to BS about them. I am on another Forum, RC universe.com

There used to be a lot of threads in OT about cameras, photography, new video games, etc. They usually ended up buried in the heaping pile of filth that makes up most of OT. I can't recall a single thread about R/C in 6 years of OT.

thats why such a sub-forum should adhere to general rules, rather than 'slack rules' that OT enjoys
