FS: Evolution VIII Badge

It's the EVOLUTION VIII silver badge that goes across the back of the trunk and is not standard on US cars. Unfortunately, it has already been stuck to the back of my car for 6 months or so and I'm not really sure how much this is worth, so I'll take offers. Normally I'd give it away but I really would like to see some return on the $90 or so this thing cost me. If you are going to use this then you will need to replace the 'sticky stuff' on the back of the plastic and figure out the spacing. Won't be the easiest install but it'll be a cheap one .

Same style as I've got. WW EVO with blacked out lights and BLACK EVOLUTION VIII badging from the MR. Great minds think alike.

Maybe we can meet up or something? I just want to clarify again that the letters are 'loose' and will have no adhesive backing on them. If you want me to post it then PM me your address and I'll take care of it.

I mean the badge I am selling is the exact same badge in the picture above. The letters are individual letters; they're not connected in any way. To install the letters you will need to apply some double sided 3M tape to the backs of the letters, cut in the same shape, and position each one individually. As I said in the 1st post, it will be a pain in the ****.

This is what you do to keep the position of the letters exactly as they are.
1) Take 3M packing tape the clear one and tape it across the badging.
2) Carefully pry every letter off while keeping its position on the 3M tape.
3) Take waxed paper that your mom has in the kitchen and adhere the sticky side of the tape onto that.

To make your own MR badge
4) With the letters laying on the wax paper carefully peel the 3M tape off.
5) Clean the letters with a mild dish soap.
6) Prep with primer
7) let dry
8) spray with a satin black spray can.
9) apply second coat of satin black.
10) let dry
11) apply clear coat for protection
12) let dry
13) apply 3M tape across the badge again
14) carefully peel off the wax paper and then rebadge.

SAVE YOURSELF the 90 dollars.
while your at it you might wanna go over the mitsu sign and the lancer badge on the left corner in black for a real nice finish. Or if you wanna be creative just spray the EVOLUTION part black and then the VIII in red (would look hot in a non red or black EVO)

Just remember who posted this first.
