EVO x Exhaust noes NOT fit the NEW RA-Confirmed

Hello all, too good to be true I guess

I have just confirmed today the the Evo x exhaust does NOT FIT the RA. I bought the T1R dual pipe set up in hopes of it working. HOWEVER the Test pipe works perfectly! and I"m sure as long as you use the O2 adapter you wont have any CEL's. I put on 150km today with the test pipe with several WOT tests and no CEL. though I"ll admit The smell now is less than desirable. Looks killer though. I took several pics today and will try to up load tonight or tomorrow night. I now have a beautiful T1R CBE exhaust forsale to any of you EVO X owners.

The problem was from the muffler it self coming out and down in the wrong location from the muffler and therefore directly into the right side rear suspension arm. If it were centered 3 inches in further and straight down (not angled) out from the 'muffler can' it would work fine. I also descovered that the Test Pipe WORKS and the rest of the tubing is in the right bend and length but the rear suspension prohibits it from lining up at all. I'm also speaking for the new T1R dual exhaust. Therefore other manufactures may be slightly different, but my feeling is that any variation won't be enough unless specifically designed for the RA.

Yeah.... I"m bummed too!

Sorry hear that. But looks like it might not be too much to get a fix on it. Try bringing it to a shop to do some custom work on it.

Shows to the ones preaching the press release saying it was the same.

To be honest I'm not that interested in messing with the Stainless Steel welds. I"m not a welder but I really think that muffler exit needs to be moved to make it work! I'll wait for the proper design one to be released I guess!

i hope they will stock it back for you with no charge! At least you are confirmed for them it will not work.

Just give them a call. They should do that.

if you look at this pic

and then look at yours

its looks like a pretty close fit to me..
since you dont have to worry about that bend.

Yep it's pretty close but you will see that the lower evo suspension arm mounts are a little bit wider for the exhaust piping. The RA is definitely narrower. put the pics side by side and you will see what I mean. And you WILL have to worry about that bend.

Can you feel any power or response difference with the test pipe?

Not sure If I follow?? If they are the same then they would fit. From my recent test fit it did not work due to the outlet on the muffler being I think in a different spot! unless the end of the pipe can be bent differently then you would need some more length and there just isin't enough there!
