*shrug* it's the price of a ~real~ antenna that looks good and comes pre-painted to match your car. There are less expensive "shark fins" on the market, but they're just antenna base covers and aren't real antennas and I don't think they come pre-painted to match your car.

VG told me that it wouldn't fit and I wouldn't be able to return it since they are custom painted. This is definitely worth getting! Although it looks like a pretty loose fit, especially around the front edge... or was it not permanently set in place during that pic?

The fit is great, you have to press down that front part a teeny bit. Here's a final pic (it wasn't placed yet in the last one up there) and one from far.

uhhhh... yup... ordered mine Tuesday.... can't wait to get it now!
i like these a hell of a lot more than the baby ***** antennas (shortie/stubbie antennas) that I've seen a few people get, and it certainly looks better than the stock whip antenna

Hi Kyle,
We did have some problems in the past, but have made some changes. Also, please note that the installation instructions provided must be followed or else it will not adhere properly, and could possibly lift off the vehicle.
Regards,
Arthur
so you guys have made a new one then?
Hi Kyle,
No, it isn't a new model shark fin, but we recomfirmed the fitment for the curvature and place emphasis on the installation procedure for our customers.

Arthur
