Wow bright lights, Cool Colors! (pictastic thread)

So with the help of a few useful evom members, I sucessfully wired my wicked-supa-cool shift light in my IX.

Its like skittles, taste the rainbow!

I guess I wont have to worry about not knowing when to shift....

There are so many options with this thing - The only thing I don't like about my gauges is that the oil pressure and boost still have incandescents because the 194 LED's I had didnt fit.

I am going to buy some 168 LED's for inside the other guages- What color should I buy?

I was thinking red to match with the number color of the shift light/ tach

Maybe pure white (5500K) or (6000K) like my Fog and Lowbeam HID's.

WOW those sure are bright....or maybe the camera made them brighter, as cameras tend to do to light.

Mine was bright as hell. So I put two layers of 20 tint on it. Now uts perfect and blacked out when off. Nice setup.

There are 15 levels of brightness adjustment between settings of "L LO" and "L HI" (1-8) and (9-15)

I took these pictures on 15 but then I set it at 8. I figured someone might swerve in the next lane if they saw it come on.

LOL Yeah dude, if I were you, I would put that shift light either in the lowest hole on the gauge pod, or get a steering column pod for it. Its gonna blind you every time you need to shift.

Or just get one of these...

I Drove this morning and it looks really good at setting 8 (down from the photo 15) - the camera does amplify things but the colors are easy to spot. I feel much more comfortable now revving up.
