What is the weight savings on your 2 pc rotors over stock, both front and rear.

I know BR sells these rotors and tested them however that was awhile back and I was curious if they have changed any?

I am looking at the AMS WilWood kits, I just aint sure on the fronts

thanks,

jeff

Hi Jeff,

Our rotors are around 3.5 lbs per corner lighter than stock. I'm going by memory here. We have made an improvement to the front rotors since the Buschur post. We now have thicker rotor and hat flanges, also a register on the hat that keys into the rotor flange ID to keep thing concentric no matter what. The kits from AMS are lightweight kits If I remember for drag racing. For that they are great! Once taken off the strip however they don't have the rotor mass for much else. I suppose driving around town is fine but definitely not for anything spirited or track work. Really you are looking at 2 very different products and you need to decide what your intended application is. Give us a call and I'd be glad to help you out. For that matter, you could call AMS too. They sell our rotors and the wilwood kits, they can certainly help you as well.

Thanks

Martin

We used to have a package like that. Ferodo 2500 fr/rr, 2-piece rotors fr/rr and motul. It is $1640. We just had so many people ask for lines that we decided to start including them and an extra bottle of fluid.

You can always call us and we can put together any kind of package you want!

Thanks

Martin

hat color

The brake hats come in our standard gray but we do custom anodizing per request. There is an up-charge for this but not much.

Happy Customer!

I ordered the Stage 3 brake package with the 2 piece fronts/1 piece rears/ferodo ds2500 brake pads/Motul RB600 brake fluid/stainless steel lines from Martin about 2 weeks ago. I installed them last week, and am amazed by the improvements over stock. The pedal feel is definitely great, with easier modulation and better feel overall. I am looking forward to taking this setup onto a Road course to truly utilize them.

Most of all, I would like to commend Martin on his awesome customer service! From day one in which I called to research and ask questions about different brake setups, he never blinked an eye to provide an honest and knowledged suggestion on what braking components I should use. Martin gave a thorough and in-depth overview of each of the different options available to me after finding out that my car is used mainly as a street vehicle with occasional track days.

Martin did not stop his customer service there. Knowing that my installation appointment was set on a specific date, he worked with me to ensure that the parts arrived before that date, even though he faced some supplier hiccups that would have otherwise caused significant delays. The fact that he went above and beyond to make sure that I am happy deserves two thumbs up from me.

For anyone who is looking to upgrade their brakes on the Evo or any other vehicle, don't hesitate to give Girodisc a call, you won't be disappointed!
