USDM Evo 9 ECU pinout here

I decided to go through the USDM Evo 9 Factory Service Manual this morning to verify the GEMs Evo 9 ECU pinout that's been circulating around on EvoM. Turns out that the GEMs pinout only partially correct for USDM Evo 9. I'm guessing that the GEMs pinout must be for a JDM or EDM Evo 9. I've posted my current draft of the USDM Evo 9 ECU pinout here. There are a few descriptions that are probably not yet totally accurate, and I don't have wire colors yet. I'll add that stuff later.

I kinda got carried away on this because I'm trying to find the unused ADC inputs on the USDM Evo 9 ECU. Got something in the works...

EDIT: Pinout updated with info on unused pins on ECU.

Feb 2, 2008: Pinout updated with more info on the 12 V power pins.

Jan 1, 2012: Updated pinout with more detail on the fuel pump relays and some other things.

Good stuff man. I am assuming the colors would match up to the GEM's? Atleast for the ones that are they same

Good to know. I've been using the old pinout and luckily everything I needed has been correct. Thanks for taking the time to define this for the USDM cars.

I posted this same question a while back in the other pinout thread. So does the IX have an EGR? I have never heard of VVT equipped cars to have EGR systems nor do i see one anywhere on the exhaust but i see it listed. I am guess maybe it is just there but the ECU ignores it???

Yes, the USDM Evo IX has an EGR system. The ECU does not ignore it.

Where in the exhaust stream does it bypass some of the gases though?

The passage from the exhaust to the EGR valve appears to be built into the cylinder head.

Oh ok that would make sense then. I have seen pictures of the JDM motor where the two nubs on the exhaust manifold have lines coming out of them that appear to be EGR. That is how i am used to EGR systems being used. In some cars they use cam overlap to grab some of the exhaust back into the cylinder. I am surprised mitsu didnt so something like that. Anyway thanks for the info.

New version of pinout attached to first post. Fixed a few errors and added a little more detail.
