insurance on 350z

how is insurance on a 350z or an RX8 compared to an Evo? if I was 18 with clean record. I'm not getting an Evo because of insurance being $2400+ a year. what about in is300, what is the best overall, and them being used about 15-18k

You should also take into account different insurance companies.

I pay less insurance on my Evo than I did with my 350Z.

How about you call your insurance company and get quotes for all the cars in question? We're not insurance agents, we don't know your record, rates in your area, etc.

i own a rotary. don't get a rx-8. they're slow...even slower than some N/A rx-7s, thats how bad it is. Get a 93 Rx7 or even an 86-91 Turbo II. With light mods its faster than an evo...on less boost too! and a lightly modded T2 rx7 could walk a 350z by 2nd gear. good luck finding a car tho.

if you are 18 as you say and not in a position to have an abundance of cash and need a car that you can drive every day, DO NOT get an rx7. you will certainly be desitute and without a ride if you do. yes, they are fast and you can mod the crap out of them, but they blow up---regularly---inevitably. if you can afford it, get a 350z and rest easy that you will not be doing an engine replacement any time soon.

yup im 18. its under liability under my dad's name i guess thats how i afford it. yes they do have a ton of problems, especially for a 20 yr old car... if u keep them n/a they can still be fast, if u dont do a huuge turbo and dont put a gt42r into a car that has 100k miles on it, then you'll have problems. if u rebuild the motor then turbo it, much more cost involved but with a new motor and decent turbo setup, u can easily make it an evo killer. for thousands less. granted its not awd. as far as gas mileage goes...thats another story. i get 20mpg in my n/a and about 28 hwy as long as im not stomping it. what exactly do you mean they'll blow up? like any car if u overrev it will. same with overboosting. everyone knows they run rich. if u set up the car wrong, it'll run lean and pop. thats the only thing u must mean when blowing up. 3rd gens have the tendency with problems, seeing they have that seq. tt setup. fuel dampener on the rx7 is a little touchy. can cause u to leak gas onto ur exh manifold, thus causing an engine fire. it all depends on attention to detail. if money is no option, and insurance fees aren't an option. go for a 350.
