I have couple questions, did you feel any power loss between the two cams on the top end side? Also is it possible to see your pump gas dyno chart with HKS 272s versus GSC S1 on the same chart? Overall these cams look great, I think I will be upgrading my HKS 264 to the S1.

Thanks for the review . The S1's sound like a great all around cam set-up. Hope to get a set soon. I'll be using my existing Vishnu cam gears my, but will set them straight up to "0" and get them tuned that way. Mabe I'll play the settings in the future. I'm also using a Aquamist water injection, but with 91 octane.

Top end felt about the same. I really didn't notice any power loss from what my butt dyno was reading. It definitely pulled very strong from 3500 all the way up without that flat feeling you normally get in some setups.

The back to back dyno comparison is being setup. At the time of the review not everything was setup properly to get accurate results. I still have my set of HKS 272 cams, so its a matter of swapping them out and making sure the tune is good so we can do the comparison. We have previous reviews that we need to do a follow up with so I'm going to add it all together.

Sounds good, one other question what cam gears settings did you use?

330whp is on 93octane with 21psi

364whp is on 93octane with water injection running about 27psi (I used window washer fluid which has a 20-30% mix)

Is it recommended to use stock cam gears? Like I stated earlier, i just received my S1 today but have not ordered gears. Would be great to not have to buy them and go through the headache. Great review!!

It's really up to you and the tuner who will work with your car to make that decision. The reason why I went with stock gears was to eliminate the possibility of something slipping out of place. I run the project evo alot on race tracks for driving school events and with all that heat and stress I put the motor through, it seemed like a safer choice to go with a non adjustable set.

I'm sure if you went with an adjustable set you could probably get a few more ponies out of it.

Nice review! I was waiting to see if anyone was using the new cams. I have a set of S2's on the way for an MR. Can't wait to see what they do!
