the question was answered in another post... but here is the answer again...

Here is the reply i received from the mfg of Eneos:
"Our 0w-50 is actually a combination of Ester and PAO base. Yes ester is a better base but due to engineering and mechanics, a combination of both along with special additives, makes that total formulation best for heat and oxidation resistance and very low friction.

That’s in consideration of today’s high performance vehicle. We will have an all ester based product in the future..."

Our end-of-day is 4:30 AZ time for outgoing shpts; so if payment is received by that time, we ship it out same day. We don't like to BS with customer's $ - that ain't cool

OEM filter should do just fine

cheers.

i think alot of people are saying mobil 1 is no longer synthetic since they started making the extended mileage versions. not realizing that they still make the traditional mobil 1 along with the extended mileage versions.

I would really like to see that result you have.. Was it an oil analysis test?
I have a friend working out of the Mobil Oil Corp here in Virginia....

Yea, no kidding, the last case I put in said fully synthetic, and so did each bottle in it.

Maybe I'll try this stuff next time guys!

Results!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Results Are In!
Towards the end of the day the weather began to warm up which didn't help the results but we tried our best. Two of the cars did lose power but I seemed to be cause by the air temperatures. We will do furthur testing with high power cars.

Just wanted to add: one of the Evo 9 that acutally lost power, it was due to the ecu switching maps back in between runs... that car was bone stock so it had a lot of maps to choose from.

Lesson learned here: test should be done with cars that are at least tuned for the fuel that they're running. Stock cars are just not worth testing b/c it has too many varibles that can affect the outcome. The owner of this car said he "felt" the car running smoother, but 'felt' results did not translate on the dyno.

Future plans: We will get 3 high-horsepower cars next time that are TUNED, and run those thru the same test.

Summary: the WHP gains were nominal (1 to 3 whp); the Tqe gains were a little bit better (between 3 to 7).

shouldn't be a problem as long as it's synthetic.
