If they were shipped USPS probably won't get brokerage fee but, it will take a little longer to get to Canada. Well worth the wait. UPS likes do give it to you dry when crossing the border.

I never paid anything else than the shipping fee when receiving packages through USPS... even when reTro sent me all the components of his S&S audio kit (thanks again man)! In the last year I also received a muffler tip, a set of pedals and some other items that aren't related to the car. All came in without me having to pay a dime in extra customs and/or brokerage related fees. But you must be prepared to wait for a while though... last time it took almost two weeks to make it from soCal to here! I think USPS and Canada Post still use horse-drawn carriages!

BTW: Never get anything remotely fragile shipped through USPS/CP! The speakers came in with holes in the cardboard box... and in two of the speakers too!

I can clearly picture it... the guy rows for about 4 days, then they onload it onto a two horses wagon for the rest of the trip.

QuestionWhy doesn’t AEM make a crank pulley?

AnswerVirtually all of the cars we make Tru-Power pulleys for come equipped with a vibration dampener mounted to the crank from the factory. Aftermarket crank pulleys require the removal of these dampeners, which are required for engine life. Their removal can cause damage to your engine over time. If the manufacturers could save on vehicle costs by eliminating this device they would have done so.

I found this on AEMs' website, I dont really want to hurt Joe's business. I feel that it my be important!! What do you think about this Joe, bull$hit or a valid reason??

I have more than answered this question. It is actually kind of a wash because Unorthodox is out there and too many players making the same pullies will not be profitable. This dampener can crack and break over time causing nasty belt slippage and belt failure leading to a host of other problems. The reason the factory doesn't eliminate the dampener is because it is a sore reason not to design the motor in better spec. The biggest thing the manufacturer is concerned about is vibration and comfort. Take a look at it from a manufacturing stand point. It costs thjem nothing more to make a dampened pulley when they get 20,000 of them. Furthermore most stock dampeners or pullies are not balanced correctly to begin with.

My CNC made pulley is what should have been there in the first place. Although if that was the case then all this would not exist. If you have more in-depth questions I am available, please call me using the phone # on the website. http://www.mievo.net/rapulley

I am not trying to challenge you and I am not trying to threaten your sales. It is just something that I saw on their website. This wasnt meant as an attack on your product!!!

Licking your lips...its all good it is just that I would not want anything thinking that I have not put the R&D into this and that I would want to hurt their car.

For the next shipment I need payment by Midnight tonight.

This might be a dumb question or it may have already been answered, but I'm too lazy to look through 16 pages. :P

Will this run ok with the rrm turbo kit?

Thx

Nothing is a dumb question. I see no reason why you cannot run this on a RRM turbo kit or any other turbo kit that is. I soon will have a tester for this pulley with a pulley although I would not be concerned about it not working. Both are different types of power adders. If this part alone is good for a tenth off the quarter imagine what it would be with the turbo!
