Pics of My Ride (Many PICs)
My first post here, ^^
Where I live, the EVO 8 cost about $60,000 new, and used ones are impossible to find since only 60 was brought in. I'm definately not paying that price like my friend Derek888 did. So, I went out and bought myself the closest thing I can find. It's a CA4A Satria GLXi, also called a Mirage, or Proton A-go-go. Basically, when the car is stock, it's FWD, comes with a embarrassing motor, nothing desirable. Now, the car is modded with a EVO 7 4G63 motor, AWD, and a mod list below. The chassis had a lot of custom work done to fit the complete EVO drivetrain, so I figured I should post it here.
Spot Welded Chassis with custom EVO rear subframe and AWD
WRC Car Chassis Reinforcement plates welded on
EVO 7 Motor, tranny, wiring.
EVO 6.5 RS Front and Rear Suspension
EVO 7 Rims and Tires
Brembo 4 piston Front calipers and 2 piston Rear Calipers
Bilstein 6 way adjustable shocks

Well, I'm planning to upgrade the intercooler and do a 2.4 stroker fully built/GT35R combination later, as I'm broke now with 2 projects cars and a daily driver. (My other project car is coming from USA soon, I have a R34 RB26DETT sitting here waiting for it to arrive!

Well, so far the previous owner spend about $60,000 on modifications alone, the car was his company show car but the store closed down. Actually, this car stock is only worth about $5000 here... lol !! I just purchased the car for a little over $20k. This is the only mirage that I know of with complete EVO drivetrain, suspension. Other ones don't have the full EVO suspension work. In Taiwan, gas sucks here, and horsepower ratings are hurt badly. This car was originally intended for mountain road racing. In order to change to a drag car, most likely I'll need to run alky/gas to ensure I have clean fuel in the future. I'm planning to run Derek888 when he get his U.S. spec EVO 8 tuned. He have a full built race head built by my friend, intercooler, and complete exhaust. With roughly 1300KG weight on my car and a custom titanium turbo, I know I'll win. But knowing how rich that guy is, he'll do 2.4 and GT35R soon and I'll have to gather up some cash soon to do the stroker 2.4/ GT35R in the near future. Hopefully my lighter chassis will let me have an advantage.
