Galant Ralliart
From TheCanadianDriver website...
Some pics...
So what are the details of the Galant Ralliart? It debuts a modified version of its 3.8-litre V6 coupled with a new 6-speed manual gearbox. Now featuring MIVEC, short for Mitsubishi Innovative Valve and lift timing Electronic Control, the 260 horsepower mill gets a 30 horsepower boost over the base model. It's the same engine, transmission combination that will debut in the automaker's all-new Eclipse, by the way, shown in Detroit last week.
Other Galant Ralliart upgrades include massive 19 by 8.5 inch Racing Hart F10 alloy rims wrapped in 245/40/19 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 performance tires, that should improve the agile sedan's road-holding well beyond it's accomplished levels in stock trim. Adding to its track image is a Ralliart exhaust system, a custom cold air intake system and a coilover springs suspension developed by Road Race Engineering. But that's not all, true to the brand's motorsport image a rear stabilizer bar, front and rear strut braces, and Brembo's 4-piston brake kit in front, and custom cross-drilled rotors out back, keep all the extra power under control.
Inside, the Galant Ralliart concept features a fair bit of custom work, including upgraded carpeting and unique leather seats and trim with the front seats made by Recaro...and a seriously powerful audio system

They may be in a similar price range, but different classes IMO. I know if I were out to purchase an EVO (or STi, or other more hardcore performance sedan) I wouldn't even be considering the new Galant. Conversely if I were looking for a car similar to the Galant, I'd be looking at the new Altima SE-R, Pontiac G6 GTP, etc. Those are all larger and focused on a different buyer than the EVO, again IMO.
