One sweet car
Went to the shop in Santa Ana today, to meet with Adam @ Evolution Imports and a fellow member Erik (erikjg), and OF COURSE to FINALLY take a look at my car
And I also got a chance to drive it for a mile or 2, although I was on empty (so were all the other cars, that's how they come from the factory).
1st driving impression: the car is freakin AWESOME, even with 3 pple onboard, and pulling at 3/4 throttle only to 5K RPM, that car hauls *** like a banshee.
Suspension is tight, and extremely responsive. The car corners extremely well too.
And what can I say, the seats are really awesome too
Here are some pics I took, although they don't do the cars justice. The cars are very dirty, and it shows in the pics. Not much I can do about that though !!

Congratulations, Karl! About time! I see you they got it from Global Performance just like I did
My car was very dusty as well when I git it, and had those white stickers on it. Oh, and that sticker on the inner side of the driver's door says that you shouldnt wash the car in an automatic car wash because of the rear wing
Hope you get the papers soon
Have you already decided on a suspension set up and exhaust you were looking for?

Claude,
I think in terms of exhaust, I am going to go for the HKS HiperMuffler (should I go with the Ti Ltd?). I talked to CoordSport and they said that exhaust fits very well with the Evo7, and is a very common upgrade, well known and tested, and provides good results as well. My only issue is weight, it doesn't seem to be much lighter than the stock system. But I don't like the looks of the Apex'i Hayabusa, and don't know anything about the R95 either. The Fujitsubo RM-01A might be an idea, but I don't know. Ideas?
For the suspension, I am set for the Ohlins GrpN tarmac-spec shocks, w/ gravel-spec spring rates I think tarmac-spec rates will be too harsh for CA streets (streets suck here), so gravel spec will be a good compromise. But the shocks/struts will be shortened from gravel-spec to tarmac spec otherwise the car will be sitting too high.
What do you think so far?
